Light School Day
Got up at a reasonable hour this morning and we had a light schoolday; there were just too many extracurricular activities on the schedule for us to require a full load of classes on top of anything else. Adam did have some extra work to do because he had a biology report due, but he completed it without complaining.
Late in the morning Dana took Lindsey off to tumbling class, while I stayed home and fed lunch to the rest of them. The afternoon saw a Girl Scout meeting that took Dana and Kayla out, and in the evening Adam and I took his car over to the Pinewood Derby checkin. Dinner was ordered-in pizza.
I hit the wall in the afternoon and realized that the code I was staring at made no sense at all, so I took an hour off to just read. This helped, and I was able to get in some decent work after dinner until it was time to put kids to bed. We allowed the younger three to have a “sleep over” but after about two hours of not sleeping Lindsey and Thomas opted to go back to their own beds and actually get some rest.
