Camp Madness
This was a day of even more running around with kids, since all four of them are in camp for the rest of the week. I got Adam and Thomas up early so that they could be fed and the three of us out the door by 7:30. I drove them down to the local Scout Center so that they could spend the day at Cub Scout Day Camp. Got home to find an empty house, because Dana had taken the girls off to their camps.
I worked through the day as best I could, making some progress though I’m falling behind on several fronts. In the afternoon, it was back to pick up a pair of hot and tired and happy boys, and then the three of us drove downtown to get Kayla and bring her home.
Did a bit of gardening in the afternoon and discovered that our lawn guy had apparently broken off a sprinkler head and we’ve got a leak, so now I’ve got a call in to our sprinkler company to come take a look.
I made dinner for the family (chicken, asparagus, mashed potatoes) and gulped a salad myself before another hour of being on the phone (it’s sometimes hard to coordinate cross-country phone conferences at a decent time). By bedtime we were all thoroughly worn out.
