Early Weekend
Every once in a while I have a day that never seems to get out of first gear. This was one of those days. After I was awake and younger kids fed, I ran out to do the grocery shopping, which took up a chunk of morning. Then I did some light schoolwork with the kids and turned my attention to my desk.
Didn’t get far, though, before it was time to take Lindsey to tumbling class. Dana was heading out to swim practice with Adam, so I hauled the other two kids with us – and then we discovered that tumbling was already closed for the holiday weekend. So the four of us swung by the grocery store and picked up a broiled chicken for lunch instead.
I got a little work done in the afternoon, but really had a tough time focusing at all, and finally just decided that my weekend had started early and didn’t push it. We had leftover chicken for dinner, I browsed the web a bit more, and called it a night after putting the kids to bed.
