Pack Meeting

Schoolwork had to work around a few phone calls this morning, but at least it got done. Somehow it seems to be increasingly difficult to get through everything that has to get packed into a day.

We’re redesigning part of the current big project and as a result I spent a lot of today in a part of the code I hadn’t looked at lately. Much of this was sort of frustrating, but I got it under control eventually.

I fed the boys an early dinner of hot dogs, and then the three of us got our uniforms on and headed out to the first Cub Scout pack meeting of the fall. We were there early for the “roundup” portion of welcoming new scouts, and then it was two hours or so of riding herd on the boys, trying to teach them a thing or two, and having fun. Both Adam and Thomas got nice collections of achievement awards for their work over the summer, which was good reinforcement for them.

We got home and stayed up a bit late while waiting for the girls to come home from karate and then called it a night.
