Doctor Time
Adam slept propped up on the couch last night, and was feeling much better this morning. I think we’re out of the woods on this one, though of course we’ll finish out the whole course of antibiotic drops just to be on the safe side.
With that mini-crisis past, we went back to school this morning, though we had a very easy day of it. That was because we had a 10:15 doctor’s appointment for the girls to get their annual checkups. I like our doctor, but boy do they have scheduling issues: it was nearly an hour late when we finally got in to see her. Fortunately Dana had brought a bag full of activities and books for the kids, so we didn’t have too much boredom (other than our own) to cope with.
After grabbing lunch at Sonic, we came home and got to work. I managed to move the usual few projects along and spend time on a couple of others that have been slipping. I also got the login info for the server our cub scout pack has been using, and did a quick code spike on a replacement site; the current state is pretty much “bad.” But fixing that up will be an easy background activity.
Karate night for Dana, and hot dog night for the kids (with fries and corn) – two not-unconnected occurrences. The kids played outside for a while until nearly bedtime, and we read another chapter of our current Oz book and crashed.
