Too Much Running Around

Bright and early this morning Lindsey and I were off to do the grocery shopping. We got to the store a little after 6, and were home by 7, pretty much completely missing the rush. She got a big kick out of being awake before the rest of the world.

I coded and answered email for a bit, and then called up my dentist to discuss some achiness at the site of the tooth that had been ground down for a crown last week. This resulted in a trip down to her office and a referral to get a root canal done on that tooth after all. Got home just as the last of the kids was ready for school, so we spent a while rehearsing for their play, which gets its debut performance tomorrow night.

By the time we were finished with that, our plumber was here with the new instant hot water heater to install under the sink. That pretty much wiped out any profit that I might have made today. My afternoon went for more coding, with yet another interruption to take the dog to the vet. At least now all of the kids have had their checkups for another year.

This was karate night for Dana, and the kids had ham-and-cheese crescent rolls plus fruit for dinner. Afterwards they played while I got a bit more work done, and then we finished Glinda of Oz before it was time to call it a day.
