Code and Birthday
Got an early start this morning with a bug that I thought was only going to take 30 minutes or so to fix. By the time the dust cleared, I was 4 hours into it, and lunch was approaching. So much for my ability to estimate software projects.
Today was Kayla’s birthday party, and it started with Dana taking her down to the movies to meet a bunch of other little girls. Then they all came back here, where I made spaghetti dinner for family, guests, wandering children from next door?I think about 18 people by the time the dust cleared. Fortunately spaghetti is easy.
After dinner, there was cake, and presents, and general chaos for a while. Most parents came and picked up kids around 9:30 (by then I was starting my end of the month accounting) and the remaining smaller pack of girls moved on to sleepover in Kayla’s room. I ended up sending out the last of the invoices and calling it a night close to midnight.
