Code and Groceries
My latest habit is getting in the way of older habits. I’ve been starting off the day with 20 minutes on the treadmill, and that means I haven’t been sitting down first thing to write about the previous day. So, journalling will probably be spotty until I get this worked out.
Most of today was all about work, as it has been recently. The big site is still grinding along, and I’m still supervising trying to get new designs uploaded and working amidst a welter of change orders. It’s not always a smooth process – there was a conference call today that involved a fair amount of yelling – but it is moving along.
Meanwhile we continue our homeschool, of course. Today we learned a bit about Texas, one of the states we’ll be driving across on our spring vacation, among other things. Kids are mostly pretty excited about this trip.
I made chicken, beans, and garlic bread for dinner. Went well enough. After dinner there were a few more hours of work until bedtime, after which I got out to the grocery store for a very late round of shopping. It’s much easier to get through the store quickly at 10PM, though the meat and produce selection suffers a bit.
