House Inspection

I was up around 5:30. Lindsey actually wasn’t up that early, though she was restless; she ended up sleeping for 13 hours. She doesn’t appear to be sick. Maybe she just needed to store up some energy to keep up with the siblings.

The first order of business today turned out to be replacing the flaky UPS on our network, which crapped out again just as I was finishing breakfast. Fortunately its replacement arrived yesterday and had charged up overnight. So there was an hour or so of swapping hardware around and rebooting servers to interrupt my day.

After that, I got back into Rails work and made some good progress on the latest client site.

In the afternoon our home inspector came over and spent three hours or so giving the place a thorough going over. He found plenty of things to complain about, but there weren’t any huge surprises. Now we’ve got the report ready for anyone who wants to buy the place.

Dinner was fried chicken, couscous, and pears, plus salads for the grownups. After dinner, I played a bit and read a bit, then tucked kids and myself in to sleep.
