Another House Showing
I was up about 6AM, followed by Lindsey at 7 and the rest of the household in due course. After getting most of my morning web stuff done, the first order of business was what proved to be a horrid horrid web demo of someone’s software. They did not make an astoundingly good first impression.
It was “back to school” day for us. Fortunately Kayla and Adam were both happy to start their classes again, so that went fairly well. They even coped well with interruptions in their schedule – our realtor called, and we ended up with a surprise showing of the house, as another couple came out and spent an hour and a half looking the place over and walking their dogs. The kids were quite taken with the dogs; Kayla in particular did not want to see them go.
After lunch, I took some more stuff up to our storage space and spent a little while there looking for some paperwork that had been inadvertently packed away. Fortunately I found what I was looking for.
What with all this showing and running around, it wasn’t a great day for work, but I did get some billable time in, as well as keeping up with e-mail and such. When dinnertime rolled around, I settled on corned beef hash and canned pineapple. The smaller kids loved it, Adam didn’t (potatoes are not his favorite), and Kayla fell asleep before dinner and slept through the night.
