Prequalified
Back to school day again, after our one-day vacation yesterday. Kayla had fun learning about killer whales, not so much fun learning about Egyptians. We may postpone history for a bit.
After clearing the decks of the usual morning routine, I got on the phone and located a realtor and a mortgage company in the Evansville area. Recent developments in the mortgage market have given me some pause, and this seemed the prudent thing to do. Fortunately, our credit is in excellent shape, and we’re preapproved for a mortgage much larger than we could actually pay comfortably, at a decent interest rate. And we have a realtor who is clearly hungry churning up a number of interesting-looking properties. Now all we have to do is sell this place and get out of here.
After afternoon schoolwork was over, Dana took the girls out for an afternoon of grocery shopping and errands. The boys stayed home with me, and after some hours of cartoons and computer on their part and writing code on my part, we had beef and noodles and pineapple for dinner.
Eventually the rest of the family came home, groceries were put away, kids were put to bed in various states of fussiness, and the day came to an end.
