Moving into High Gear

There were a great many phone calls involved in my morning, including lining up septic tank pumping, well flow test and water quality test, chatting with lawyers about moving our company to Indiana, setting up mail forwarding, getting moving estimates, and starting the discussion on moving our T1 line, among others. Though there is still a last little bit of negotiation to do on the sale of our house, we are moving forward on the assumption that this is the one.

After lunch, we packed the kids into the minivan and headed out for a round of errands. Chief among these was to get one last piece of paper notarized and over to our realtor to tie up a loose end. We also needed to make stops at the bank and pharmacy and cel phone place. The kids tolerated the few hours in the car very well, and got rewarded with suckers on the way home, playtime in the yard when we got home, and pizza for dinner.

Meanwhile the parents spent the rest of the day trying to get caught up on e-mail. It’s going to be a real challenge for us to stay on top of our work the next couple of months, I’m sure.
