Hectic Continues

We had another no-school day today due to “too much hectic”. One of the great things about homeschooling is that we can set our own schedule. Since we do year-round school, I don’t mind that things are going to be spotty for the kids for the next month or so (and they certainly don’t mind) – moving itself will be educational. I did take the time to sit down with Thomas and do some more phonics drill, though.

Today’s moving fun including walking around the house and storage spaces with another moving estimator (our second) so that we can nail down costs to actually have our stuff trucked cross-country (it won’t be cheap, but I already knew that), talking to the Whitman Country Planning folks, lining up a mail drop in Evansville, and settling the disconnection and reconnection of our T1 line. Lots left on the to-do list, but we’re making progress.

Somewhere in there I still found time for some Rails work. Clients are still happy and I get to send another round of invoices tomorrow.

Dinner was salmon burgers, baked beans, and pineapple. Lindsey and Thomas both loved the main dish. Adam and Kayla are both in “new food – ew” stage. Just can’t win with four kids.

I took a tiny bit of time off to play in Second Life tonight – we may be moving towards another virtual real estate deal to complement our real real estate deal, as if first life wasn’t hectic enough.
