Happy Birthday to Me
48 today, imagine that.
I didn’t have to imagine it, actually. It wasn’t like the kids would let me forget that there was a pile of presents on the kitchen table waiting to be opened. So when everyone was awake, that was what I did. Given the current moving situation, they were small (but appreciated) presents: books and little things for the road trip that we have coming up soon. It was a nice haul.
I then proceeded to spend much of the day split between working on Rails stuff, moseying my way through a TextMate tutorial, and goofing off in Second Life. This evening we had a small party in Second Life with a few friends for an online celebration.
Dinner was corned beef, mashed potatoes, and corn.
All in all, a relaxing and satisfactory birthday.
