Chugging Along
Life seems to be turning into an endless stream of pre-moving errands and checklists. There are times I wonder how less-organized people ever manage to move at all. Perhaps they don’t, or perhaps we’re just overly-structured about the whole thing.
Anyhow, after breakfasts and web postings this morning, we piled into the minivan and RV and headed out again. Adam rode shotgun with me – he seems to be enjoying the role of “eldest child who gets to ride with dad” (which gave me flashbacks of doing the same thing with my father on camping trips 40 years ago). We drove off to the Ford dealership and dropped the RV off to have the gas leak in the filler system looked at. Hopefully that will be a quick fix.
Then it was over to Shopko to pick up some winter clothes for the girls and some DVDs for the trip, and to Denny’s for lunch. Next stop was B of A, where we took out a big chunk of money in the form of a cashier’s check, which promptly went into FedEx on its way to our new bank to open our accounts out there. After stops at the pharmacy and grocery store, it was back home again.
The rest of the day, of course, was spent in catching up on email and miscellaneous what-not. It’s been a lousy week for actual billable work, but a good one for moving along on the moving project.
