Shopping Day
After the whole family was awake this morning, we packed the kids up and headed out to the grocery store. I’d rather go grocery shopping during the week, when things are less busy, but Sunday morning wasn’t too bad.
After trying a few places we’ve settled on Schnucks as our chain of choice in these parts. There’s one just a few miles from our house, which is convenient, and their selection is good. We loaded up on food (with a bit extra, considering that Thanksgiving is coming up this week) and got home with the kids having all been well-behaved.
I spent a chunk of the rest of the morning trying to track down a small leak in the hot tub. My conclusion is that there is one, but that it’s in a spot that is pretty well inaccessible without major disassembly work. For now, mopping the water and monitoring the situation will have to do.
The afternoon went for working on code. After I’d gotten a decent chunk written, I had to work out how to deploy it past our new firewall setup, but eventually I had things off where the customer could see them and called it a night. I’m just getting settled back into regular work (and regular earnings) post-move.
