Thanksgiving

I slept in, if you want to call it that, till about 6:30. This might have been a holiday, but that doesn’t mean the kids were on any different sleep schedule than usual.

When I went out to get the newspaper this morning, I noticed that our garage door was open. So I went and closed it – and it popped right back open. After several cycles of closing it and watching it pop right open, I triggered the manual release on the automatic garage door opener and put it down by hand. Then I spent a while figuring out how to call in a claim under our homeowner’s warranty.

Today was a fairly relaxed day for me, with plenty of time in Second Life and a small chunk spent writing code and cleaning out old email. Dana made Thanksgiving dinner: ham, mashed potatoes, broccoli with cheese sauce, dressing, pies. The older kids didn’t eat really well, but Lindsey and Dana and I had a fine feast.
