Xmas Decor
I was back at it at 6AM this morning. It was a bit of an odd morning: for the first time ever (for me, anyhow) one of the Macs wouldn’t come out of sleep mode. I rebooted it and all was well, but it says something about the stability I’ve had from the Macs that this was so unusual.
Today was mostly about client work for me, with most of my day divided between two different Rails projects and a phone chat with one of my clients. I’m not sure what I’m going to do when these two projects wrap up towards the end of the year, but for the moment, I’m pretty busy.
Meanwhile, Dana was unpacking Christmas decorations and starting to put them up around the house. We found a corner of the living room for the tree, and she put it there and got it decorated. Then came trying to discourage the smallest kids from undecorating it.
As in most other households in the country, tonight’s dinner was leftovers, though I did make a new pot of rice to go with it since none of the kids was too keen on the dressing.
After dinner I managed to sneak into SL for a while, where I met (rather unexpectedly) an online homeschooling friend who was just getting started. I spent a while showing her some of the basics before getting the kids off to bed with some of the Just So Stories.
