Longish Day
Even though it was after 1AM when I got to bed, I was back up at 6:30 anyhow. My morning schedule is pretty well fixed no matter how late the evenings run. Fortunately there wasn’t anything unusual up today, just the usual run of e-mail and Web sites to deal with.
I spent some time today hunting a decent OS X to-do list manager. Finally settled on Easy Task Manager for now. The key for me is that it supports recurring tasks, something that I depend on and which surprisingly few applications in the category understand.
After lunch there was another conference call with a new team at Microsoft that we’re doing some work for. I’m not entirely sure how much progress we made, but there was a lot of vague talk about how we were going to raise the bar on this and that.
Dana was off to karate in the evening as usual. The kids and I had a sort of smorgasbord dinner of cold cuts and cheese and fruit and couscous. They seemed to appreciate it.
After dinner I made some more progress on my next Rails application, digging a bit into database migrations and related topics.
