Happy Birthday to Lindsey
Up around 6, and most of the family was up early too for some reason or other. We had cupcakes for breakfast in honor of Lindsey’s first birthday. We also had a school holiday, which was much appreciated by the older children.
After my regular round of e-mail and Web work, I had a couple of long conference calls with various project teams. That pretty much shot my work day.
The first snowdrops have shown up in front of the house – our traditional first sign of spring. I’m ready for the good weather to be here, too.
Dana was still feeling lousy at dinnertime, and I was pretty blah myself. I made a dinner aimed at pleasing kids: sloppy joes and canned fruit. Even Lindsey approved of little nibbles of bread with sloppy joe on it. Thomas missed his afternoon nap and fell asleep while eating dinner.
After dinner we had another round of cupcakes and presents for the girl. She may not have known what was going on but she appreciated new toys.
