Slacker Day

There was more early morning chat time with my boss and a lot of e-mail sent, but other than that this was not a particularly grueling work day. Well, I did spend some time trying to explain to one of our customers that they’d messed up their SSL certificate renewal. But mostly I was just burned out again and took it easy on myself.

I did have to spend a while recovering from an “oops” to the Fresh Cup site, where I’d managed to deploy some changes over the top of other more recent changes. Fortunately backups saved me, and it just took me a while to figure out what I’d done and how to fix it.

Dinner was barbecue pork with veggies, plus baked potatoes.

My next Rails project is coming along. The site I’m working on requires me to do a lot of data entry, so I was doing a lot of that tonight – mindless work, but I’m starting to see it pay off. I ended my day by working on revisions to one of the utility applications that Dana uses to run QuiltIndex.
