This and That
I actually managed to sleep in until 7:30 before Thomas came charging into our bedroom, little bundle of energy that he is. Still, that was an hour of extra sleep, and I was happy for it.
I managed to get through a mixed bag of piled-up tasks this morning: some more coding for QuiltIndex, preparing our tax materials for our accountant, bookkeeping and bill-paying, and some e-mail catchup.
A big chunk of the afternoon went for more writing of help files. Deadly dull, and made all the more annoying by network issues (thanks to our client’s insistence that we move everything to their servers, which don’t work for beans), but at least it pays the bills.
Later on I got back into my own Rails application, which was a good deal more pleasant. We had some leftovers for dinner, cleaning out the fridge. After dinner, I spent some time poking around in Second Life. Don’t know whether I’ll get into it or not but it was fun to look around.
