End of Another Week
Thomas woke up at 4AM, with a full bladder. I know his bladder was full because his diaper overflowed on to the floor before I managed to finish rushing him to the bathroom to use the potty. I managed to get him snuggled back to bed after changing him, so he apparently wasn’t traumatized by the experience.
It was a very cold morning (well, I’m sure it was colder over the winter, but I’m starting to get acclimatized to the spring again, which is beginning to tease us with nice afternoons). I started off my morning by poking some more at my combined Rail/Second Life application, and returned to it periodically over the course of the day. So far I’m just making little technology spikes, trying to establish what is and is not possible within the confines of the Linden Scripting Language; I have grandiose ideas for things to build, but I’m not sure which ones are possible yet.
I had to interrupt the fun at 10AM for yet another Microsoft conference call. I’m not convinced the big project we’re on is actually contributing much to the state of human knowledge, but it’s certainly generating plenty of meetings.
Adam finished his second-grade spelling book today. He got to pick our dinner main dish today, and we had fried chicken strips as a result, along with macaroni and cheese, peaches, and salad. The chicken was rather overseasoned because Adam did the seasoning, but the kids all seemed to enjoy it.
Before and after dinner I did some more help file writing. Dull, but it pays the bills.
